Spending time together...

We had our first cookout in our yard this year!!! We made tinfoil dinners with hamburger, onions, potatoes and carrots and it was soooo YUMMY! We will have to cook up some s'mores soon because I have been craving them too! Stetson is already living outside from sun up til sun down and though I don't like scrubbing the bathtubs CONSTANTLY from all the extra dirt--we are loving being able to be outside during the day.
Stets went to two Easter egg hunts this year and he was SO excited! Since my odd child doesn't eat any candy he came home with 48 eggs!!! The funny thing is we ate them ALL...ha ha. These pictures are from the hunt at grandma Chelle's house.

Here's his little stash from the Easter bunny... He had so much fun searching all over the house to see where the Easter bunny hid his basket but we found it behind his bedroom door sitting in his Lightening McQueen camping chair.
Here he is rearing and ready to hit the town Easter egg hunt the day before Easter!
We went ice skating for my niece Brinkley's birthday at the end of March. It was warm outside but it was chilly on the ice. Stetson did really good and was doing it all on his own by the end of the party so we are planning on going again soon. Skylar was in Oklahoma so he missed all of the fun but the two of us had a blast trying something new together. This is only the second time I have been ice skating and it was Stetson's first.
There were barettes in the gift bags for EVERYONE...LOL
There's the birthday girl in pink sitting by Stetson...
Brendon LOVED the cupcakes as you can see! Happy Birthday Brinkley and thanks for inviting us to your party!
We spent the day on Saturday cleaning and organizing our garage but it didn't really matter what we were doing because it was sunny outside and it was sooo nice! Here's some pictures of me and Stetson after church on Sunday "racing" down the driveway on his scooter and plasma car...GOOD TIMES! We tried to get Skylar to join us but he insisted that he wouldn't fit on the car. Oh and FYI--scooters and high heels are a dangerous mix!

A little bit of this and that!

Stets and Berkley love to lounge around the house in the morning watching cartoons and "snuggin". Berk is such a good dog and is always game for anything Stetson wants to do!

While Stetson slept peacefully on St. Patrick's Day some leprechaun's came into our house and left a couple fun surprises for him!
There was a trail of green suckers and chocolate left from the couch (where Stets was sleeping) to his bedroom floor.

Although Stetson did eat ONE piece of the chocolate he refuses to even try the suckers but he LOVED the green milk they left for us!! Let me tell you green milk makes one nasty colored chocolate milk mixture but Stets didn't care, he loved it anyways!
Here's my little munchkin at McDonald's playing under the hand dryer. Some people's children!!

He is one funny kid. I mentioned earlier he wouldn't touch the suckers the leprechauns left him which is nothing new at our house because he will not even TRY candy except chocolate and the chocolate has to be PLAIN or M&M's. He gags when he sees anyone chewing gum which is rather embarrassing and yesterday he called my sister up on the phone and said, "WHY DID YOU SEND ME CANDY IN THE MAIL"?? He was quite frank with her in letting her know he didn't like the candy...lol No worries because I ate the candy he got =)

He is still a garbage disposal when it comes to eating food though so we don't push the candy AT ALL. Yesterday we went out to breakfast as a family and he even ate the mint garnishes they put on his pancakes! He will sit down and eat a whole bundle of cilantro and ask for more. I am so proud of my little veggie monster and maybe I could learn a thing or two from him when it comes to candy!

He's still a guy...

Well my hubby turns the big 2-8 today! We have been together eight years now and I still thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending such a wonderful man to be my husband and the father to our children. He has been a blessing in my life for as long as I can remember and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

With that said...every time I hear Brad Paisley's song, "I'm Still A Guy" on the radio it makes me think of Skylar and I always laugh out loud while driving along. Anyone who knows Sky knows this is his THEME song! Here ya go honey!

When you see a deer you see Bambi and I see antlers up on the wall. When you see a lake you think picnics and I see a large
mouth up under that log. You're probably thinkin' that you're gonna change me. In some ways well maybe you might. Scrub me
down, dress me up, oh but no matter what remember I'm still a guy.

When you see a priceless French painting and I see a drunk naked girl. You think that riding a wild bull sounds crazy and
I'd like to give it a whirl. Well love makes a man do some things he ain't proud of and in weak moment I might walk your sissy
dog, hold your purse at the mall but remember I'm still a guy
.

I'll pour out my heart, hold your hand in the car, write a love song that makes you cry. Then turn right around knock some
jerk to the ground 'cause he copped feel as you walk by.

I can hear you now talkin' to your friends sayin', "Yeah girls he's come a long way from draggin' his knuckles and carryin'
a club and buildin' a fire in a cave." But when you say a back rub means only a back rub then you swat my hand when I try.
Well now what can I say at the end of the day,"Honey, I'm still a guy."

And I'll pour out my heart, hold your hand in the car, write a love song that makes you cry. Then turn right around knock
some jerk to the ground 'cause he copped feel as you walk by.

These days there's dudes gettin' facials, manicured, waxed and botoxed. With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands you
can't grip a tackle box.

Yeah, with all of these men linein' up to get neutered it's hip now to be feminized. I don't highlight my hair, I've still
got a pair.Yeah, honey I'm still a guy.

Oh my eyebrows ain't plucked there's a gun in my truck. Oh thank god, I'm still a guy.

SLC getaway

Stets has been on a dinosaur kick lately and a few weeks ago I showed him some pictures on a friend's blog of the dinosaur museum down in Lehi and he BEGGED me to take him there. He also let us know it was a good idea to eat at Chuck E Cheese the same day. Skylar and I decided why not??? We needed some family time together before Skylar heads out of town for work again soon so Saturday we got up early and hit the road for the day...

Stetson played in the sand uncovering fossils...

I LOVE turtles so this was my favorite display!!
We bribed Stetson with everything imaginable to get him to pose for a picture with this shark...as you can see it didn't work so well =)
He got to color pictures while we were there...
He was also too scared of this dinosaur leg to pose by it but he crawled all over this little one lying on the floor.
We also hit the 3D ocean movie while we were there. It was SO hilarious watching Stets try to reach out and grab all of the little fish swimming by our faces during the movie.
Me and my little man =)

After we worked up an appetite at the museum it was time for Chuck E Cheese AKA Yucky Cheese because their food SUCKS. We love their entertainment though!!! The place was filled to maximum capacity and when we left there was a HUGE line of ppl waiting to get in. As much as we love taking Stetson there to play I can safely say it is the LAST PLACE ON EARTH I would wait in line for!

After we were ready to rip our hair out from all of the excitement of Chuck E Cheese we hit the mall for some shopping and ended the day with a nice dinner at Olive Garden with our good friends Jen and Chris. Sorry I didn't get pictures of them but here's Stetson "helping" with baby Paxton! Don't you want to squish those cheeks??

My life for the next six weeks

I am sure all of my blog readers think I have dropped off the face of the earth! Unfortunately my lack of having a life lately is because I have been sucked into the depths of chemistry HELL but luckily after my next big test this Tuesday I will have half of the class behind me and only six more weeks to go! I think I can... I think I can...

Nothing frustrates me more than putting HOURS and HOURS into studying and still feeling like I don't have the foggiest idea of what is going on in the class. I haven't failed out of a college class yet and I don't plan on starting now so I guess I will put on what Skylar calls my "big girl panties" and buck up!

Other than school life is going good for us and I count my blessings every day! I am still loving my job and I was STOKED to get to ride a horse for the first time while at work. I am not exactly ready for my first rodeo but I think I got off to a good start. Hopefully I can ride again soon!

Stetson begged me the other morning for "pancakes in a huge stack like on TV." Thanks to the latest IHOP commercial Stets is no longer satisfied with two pancakes on his plate. When I told Stets to get the stuff out of the pantry he was SOOO excited when he grabbed the box of pancake mix that he tripped on the kitchen rug and spilled it all over the floor so I had to get out every last morsel that was left in the box to even manage a stack this big!! I made the pancakes tiny so I was able to get SEVEN of them in his stack! The breakfast of champions!

Last Saturday we decided we needed to get out of the house so we decided to go bowling. We had so much fun. This was Stetson's first time and he loved it. He had to use daddy's 15 pound ball because he is a "big boy now".
Check out these mad scores! I started off with TWO STRIKES and it all went downhill from there. I got my trash kicked by not only one but BOTH of my boys!

We have been enjoying what is hopefully the LAST of the snow for the year. It has been warm enough that in the mornings Stetson plays in the yard while I sit outside in my PJs with my laptop and work on homework...depressing I know but someone has to do it. By the way-- who dressed this kid?!?
We have been going to as many Aggie games as we can manage and they are always so much fun! Stets is scared of Big Blue but he LOVES this hat we got him at the last game. Silly kid...

Oh yeah I also got older this month. I turned the big 25! I don't mind being 25 but I think I will STAY there for a while!

My birthday was on Superbowl Sunday so we didn't do much that day but we went to the Aggie game the night before with my dad and my parents had a get together at their house for both me and my sister Rachelle's birthdays which was nice. My boys got me flowers and spoiled me for the day!

More winter pics of the boys getting ready to cause some havoc outside...
As you can see I have been able to make some time for the things that really matter in life but right now it is almost 2:00AM and I need to hit the books again because both of my boys are sleeping and we all know peace and quiet is hard to come by when you have kids. I will keep you all posted on whether I survive chemistry or not!
