Some New Clothes

Considering Stetson has been eating us out of house and home lately, it's no wonder he has out grown most of his clothes all of a sudden. As I was dressing him the other day I couldn't believe how many things didn't fit him anymore!! I called Skylar at work and told him when he got home that we were going into town to get Stets some new clothes or else he would be wandering around naked pretty soon! Stets was really excited! He loves clothes and is always undressing and dressing himself. He HATES it when I make him strip down to his diaper to eat spaghetti! I love when Kohl's has their specials on the Jumping Beans brand of clothes and they were running a special again so we headed there. We got him a couple of cute long sleeve shirts and a cute new shirt for church too as well as a pair of jeans. That was ALL we were getting when daddy saw this outfit on the clearance rack and JUST HAD to point it out to Stetson! I am NOT a fan of character clothes but sometimes even mommy can't say no! So here's Stetson's new Thomas the Train outfit...TA DA

Cafe Rio
Tonight after I got done with school I headed to go pick up Skylar and Stetson so we could do a few errands in town. After we were done shopping at Kohl's we decided to head to Cafe Rio and get some of their yummy chicken tortilla soup!! When we were almost finished eating I told Skylar I needed to go to the bathroom before we left. Well we were still eating when the waitress wanders over to check on us and...she says, "Does everything taste ok and is there anything you need?" We said that everything was fine and we were ok. Then Stetson pipes up, "Mommy NEEDS to go to the potty!!"
Thanks for watching out for mommy, Stetsie!

Family Movie Night

Last Friday night my sister Rachelle came over with her two kiddos and we all hung out, ate pizza and watched a movie. Brinkley and Stetson tore the house apart and fought most of the evening but they both had their good moments too! At one point, Brinkley came to me and said, "Stetson pulled my hair, scratched my face and smacked me!!" Yeah, Stets saw the inside of his time-out room a time or two during the evening but all in all they had fun. Stetson kept coming up to me while I was holding the baby and he would say, "I want to hold that!" or, "My turn to hold that!" He loves little babies!

The Snowman Hat

Grandma Chelle gave Stetson this "snowman" hat and glove set that he will no longer leave the house without! She bought one of these for each of the younger boys and let them choose one. Stetson chose first and bypassed the Lightning McQueen set for this SNOWMAN set. Your eyes are not deceiving you--it is indeed a skull and crossbones! I still can't figure out why in the world he thinks this is a snowman but he does and he loves it!! Whatever makes him happy I guess!

The Results Are In!

It's 2am and I just found out that I passed my NCLEX exam and am officially a Licensed Practical Nurse! I am SO SO stoked!! I actually felt good when I finished the test but the suspense is enough to kill you!! We were given a website to visit after 48 hours and for $8 we could find out the results. I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to google and I found a website that let me know for free and I didn't have to wait as long!! Now maybe I can get some sleep?? As a student, maybe that $8 will come in handy...lol
That first picture is a SUPER CUTE ornament my friend Haylee gave me for Christmas! It's a little nurse snowman. Even though I took down my Christmas decorations weeks ago, I still have that little snowman sitting on my computer desk because I love it so much!! Thanks again Haylee and I hope you had a Happy Birthday even though I forgot about it and was a day late...oops.

Berkley and Stets

Our older dog, Berkley, has recently become an indoor dog for now. She is about 11-12 years old and this cold winter has been horrible for her! When we would let the dogs out in the morning she could barely make it out of the kennel to go to the bathroom. We decided she would do much better if we brought her inside. After a few deep shampoo jobs we have finally got that "outdoor wet dog" smell off and she now smells like tangerines! Now if we could just get her to eat the doggy breath mints that we bought! Stetson has LOVED having Berk inside. They have become inseparable best buddies! She has become accustomed to sleeping on the LoveSac and you can see her falling off of it one day as she was sound asleep. Also, that picture of our bedroom is very embarrassing! Just so you know, we do have matching sheets, comforter and pillows but I don't trust Stetson near them so pretty much our bed looks like that every day and I had to take that picture because that is the FIRST and LAST time Berkley was allowed on our bed! She's just way too big--she's not a little lap dog!!

Random Pics
I have been crazy busy all week long just trying to get myself and Stetson into some sort of organized chaotic schedule again. School started up and even though my schedule isn't near as packed as last year, it's still been a headache trying to figure everything out! I thought I would post a few pictures that were left out of my Christmas slide shows now that I have a minute of down time.
Here's our family standing in front of a huge snow mound at my parent's house. It snowed non stop! I got my car stuck in the drive way once too and somehow I did it AFTER a tractor had plowed it already. I still can't figure out how I pulled that one off...
Cole decided to poop out on us at the Christmas Eve party so me and Tylie painted his nail while he slept. Didn't we do a good job? There's Tylie in the background trying out her new cool nail kit! Then we tried it on her dad!

Kids Say The Darndest Things!
I thought I would share some of the funny and or bratty things that Stetson has said to us lately. He cracks me up! He loves to laugh and to say silly things to make us laugh too!
I was in the bathroom putting mascara yesterday and had taken off my glasses and put them in the sink. Stetson stood up on his Elmo stool and tried to get my glasses. I said, "Do NOT touch mommy's glasses. That's a BIG no no!" He looks up at me and says, " 1...2...3...4...go to HIME-OUT NOW mommy. BAD no no"!! (hime-out = time-out so apparently I was in trouble!)
That same morning he wanted a biscuit for breakfast. We had made biscuits the night before for dinner but they were all gone so I told him we didn't have any more! He says, "Mom, I NEED a bisc in my MOUTH'!!
The other morning (he is always full of mischief in the mornings), he goes into our bathroom and dumps baby shampoo all over the rug! I said, "Stetson, go sit in time-out until' I come and get you. Shut the door and stay there while I clean this mess up!" He starts bawling and says, "BUT I SORRY MOMMY!" If you can't do the time, don't do the crime!!
And lastly, this one isn't G rated so you might want to stop reading now! He was in his room and I could hear him saying sh@# over and over. His door was closed so I decided to lean up against it and listen to exactly what he was saying and this is what I heard..."No say shit. Bad no no. Say shoot! Shit bad no no!" At least he is getting the point!
Here's the cute little stink enjoying his new bath toys he got for Christmas from Grandpa Roly and Grandma Chelle!

Growing Pains

Has anyone ever had their kids complain of growing pains? I think that Stetson is having them right now but I don't know how to tell for sure. Last week he was walking and he collapsed THREE different times during the day and he was crying saying his leg, knee, and toes were hurting. It was really sad and after wards he said, "can't walk". When it happened it was on his leg that has the telangiectasia veins so I called his Dr. and he said it was probably just numb from him sleeping on it wrong because it was right when he woke up and since Stets has a varicose vein in that knee with those other vein issues it made sense. The Dr. thought the varicose vein was irritated with how he slept and it made everything numb which happens with varicose veins. Well it happened again tonight during dinner but it was his leg that doesn't have any problems at all. I think he is just plain growing!! I just thought they were more common as kids go through puberty.
He is eating MORE than me lately...yesterday for breakfast he had THREE entire waffles and was still asking for more food and ended up eating two entire pieces of bread too. He really doesn't usually eat all that much. For dinner tonight he had an ENTIRE can of Progresso chicken noodle soup, 1/4 of a packet of ramen noodles, three turkey slices and a few pieces of cabbage! Less than an hour later he ate a roll and a banana too and that is NOT like him so I am convinced he is going through another growth spurt.
Anyways, just let me know if your young kiddos have gone through this at such a young age too! Thanks

Christmas Day
Here's the pictures from our final Christmas party! I noticed that I didn't take very many pictures but it was kind of crazy and after the first couple hours Stetson just fell asleep in my lap and I held him there for two entire hours!! I felt so bad that he had been sick and I never get to cuddle with him because he is as cuddly as a porcupine most of the time so I loved every minute of it! That's probably when the pictures stopped though. We had lots of fun at the party and even though we missed Summer and Kim and their family, hopefully we will see them when their new baby arrives (she is due in a week or two)!

2nd Christmas Blog!

Why throw all of the fun festivities of the Holidays into one blog anyways...? Well here goes the story of Christmas Eve once we left the family party around 11p.m. I was SO excited to have Santa come and leave something for Stetson during the night because he had been asking, "Where's Santa Claus"? all month long! He was so excited when we got home. He also had told my mom right before we left her house that he had, "owies in my belly" but I didn't think anything of it because I thought all the excitement and no nap during the day was finally catching up with him. Boy was I dead wrong! Right when we were trying to go to sleep he sat up and threw-up all over the floor. I was like, IT'S CHRISTMAS--you cannot get sick on Christmas Stetson!! He ended up throwing-up and having diarrhea like I couldn't believe ALL NIGHT LONG. We FINALLY fell asleep from 4am until 7am and was up again when he started doing it all again. I wanted to cry. We still had Skylar's family party and dinner to attend to during the day as well as other family activities planned out. What were we going to do?? Some point during the night, Santa came and left some gifts for Stetson in his bed. Stets went in there around 8am to see the gifts but all he did was look at them. He was too sick to care what was there and too weak to even open one! He just closed his bedroom door and said, "Santa Claus gave them to me". Lol!
I called up my sister and told her that we wouldn't make it to anything for the day because Stets was too sick. I asked Skylar to give him a blessing so he called and asked his dad to come over and help. We are VERY blessed to have such a caring family because not only did my FIL show up, but two of Skylar's brothers as well as Aunt Nanny. About 15 minutes after they left Stets was back to his old self! He was up and running all over the place, he tore through his gifts from Santa and was BEGGING to go see Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Roly! I couldn't believe the turnaround and we were able to make it to most of the festivities that day!
Once he was feeling good he really enjoyed his presents! He even wanted to share his Nemo and Tigger presents with the dog! You can see how sick he looks in the picture of him laying down on the LoveSac and the pictures of him smiling and playing with Berkley were taken just a couple hours later!
Unfortunately--the sickness didn't stop at just Stets though! Me and Skylar got in on New Year's Eve and were both super sick all night long! What a party that was to ring in the New Year! I hope everyone had a better New Year's than we did at our house and good luck to everyone with keeping your resolutions! I haven't even made mine yet...
