Birthday Bash Belated

I am finally getting around to posting the pics from Stetson's party last Sunday. Yesterday was his actual birthday and I was planning on going somewhere with just the two of us lastnight but we were both so exhausted from such a long week! After I got home from my clinical in same day surgery at the hospital, me and Stetson went home and both slept for two hours!! That was our little party. As you can see from the pics, he got spoiled and I don't think he needs ANYTHING for Christmas at all!!

After it was all said and done, the party boy went home and crashed...in the laundry basket of all places! Happy Birthday Baby!! Mommy and Daddy love you very much and are SO proud of you!

My little man is growing up way too fast!

Well I started this blog last Saturday night and blogger was being way too slow so I just gave-up, but here it is!

It's almost 10p.m. and we are just waiting for Stetson to go to sleep so that we can stuff his pinata for his party tomorrow evening. Everybody probably knows how much I despise character stuff...I am just not a fan...sorry!! However, Stets did get a Sponge Bob cake, other party paraphernalia and the pinata is so big, square and yellow, that you could see it from a mile away!! Anything for the kids, I guess. I did put my foot down when it came to Halloween though, he is NOT dressing up like that nerdy cartoon character! Speaking of Halloween, thanks for voting everyone that did--we are going with the fisherman costume!! I love it, it's so cute.

I was just thinking how I can't believe he's turning two so I thought I would share my favorite pics of him as an 11 day old baby. My friend Eileen took these and we still have a couple framed in our house...they are so precious!! I took a pic of the two that are hanging up in his room by my favorite little saying, "A Baby is God's opinion that the world must go on". Yes, he is still my baby!

More of the Cruise Scrapbook

<---Me and Skylar with our 11 week old Stetsie. Robert and Ilene and boys...

Cody and Kerri and boys...

I never did finish posting all of the freaking cute cruise scrapbook pages from the books Annilee made that Dixie gave us on the 4th of July! Maybe posting them right now will remind me what life was like BACK WHEN I HAD A LIFE....back before nursing school. At least it's almost September and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Jamie---I LOVE THEM!! Thank You!

My friend Jamie help me put together some digital scrap booking pics of Stetson because his birthday is coming up and I wanted something to send out to our friends and family! I took the pictures when we were in Sandy over the Fourth of July weekend and I sent them to her to work her magic and I am so impressed with how they turned out! Thanks again Jamie!!

We've cut the cord!

Stetson spent his first night away from mommy last night. Skylar and Stets joined Skylar's family up in Bear Lake yesterday afternoon and I wasn't able to make it, so the two of them went without me. I talked to Stets on the phone last night at 10:30 and he had lots to tell me, but I didn't make out most of it! He's a good kid and I am proud of him! I'm sure when they get home tonight, he'll have much more jibber jabber to share with mommy!

No kids allowed!!

We didn't write this, but I couldn't have said it better myself!!! If you pack it in, PACK IT OUT!

Well me and Skylar made it to three whole years of marriage...can you believe it?? Only kidding. I have such a wonderful husband that is SO good to me and Stetson and I wouldn't trade him for the world. The only thing I MIGHT trade about him would be his softball habit...but what wife wouldn't? I think I made it clear that he is NOT playing on three teams next year!! Other than that...I love you honey!! He is my rock and he works hard to always provide for us. He is such a good daddy too...just ask Stetson because that child is definitely a DADDY'S BOY!

To celebrate last night, we didn't go all out and do anything fancy this year but we did go out for the evening without the kiddo and we had fun together! We went to Olive Garden (My FAVE), then we went to shoot my gun. I know that's not exactly romantic but I felt my stress dissipate with every loud bang and it was good for my soul!! Also, I refuse to take Stetson around guns because it terrifies me of what could easily happen. I know there's always kids there with their parents, but I'm just not that easy going. After we were done shooting, we picked up Stetson and played with him for a while and at 11p.m. when he still wasn't asleep for the night, the three of us laid in bed and watched The Notebook. It was REALLY good. I just finished reading the book a couple of days ago and I really wanted to see the movie and I loved it. All in all, we had a great time and I am lucky to have such a wonderful husband that loves me so much.
Thanks Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Roly for watching Stetson so we could go out!

Summer Treats

Isn't it funny how some treats just taste sooo much better when eaten on a hot summery day...with friends and family? I am not a fan of the heat, but there are some things you just can't do when it's cold!

Here's my mom decorating her cupcake tree at a family party Friday night.

My boys chowing down at the fair last night...
ReNae making chocolate covered strawberries (my FAVORITE)! Stetson and Timber enjoying..and swapping...popsicles earlier today...
And we can't forget chocolate covered bananas! These were SO easy to make and SO SO SO yummy! I am going to make a bunch for Stetson's birthday party in a few weeks.

Here's the box you buy the chocolate mix in if anyone wants to try them. It includes the sticks too. And summer wouldn't be summer if we didn't roast marshmallows out back over the campfire...
Summer's definitely on its way out but it'll be back next year and I can hardly wait for my first cup of hot cocoa with the first snow fall this year!! I hope everyone had as good of a summer as we did...and yes, I've already put our pumpkins out on the front porch for fall!!
