Father's Day

I know it already seems like the Holiday was FOREVER ago but it hasn't been a week yet so give me a break!! This was a stressful week around here because of school but let me tell you how nice it's been to relax ALL DAY today.

First off I want to say how thankful Skylar and I are for both of our dads. We were both blessed with great fathers who have taught us so much over the years. They are both wonderful FILs and awesome Grandpas too!

Skylar was raised by two great parents who taught him to be the amazing father he is today. Stetson is his "Little Buddy" and there isn't anything these two don't do together.







Here's the stepping stones we made for the grandpas for Father's Day. Stets was SO excited to work on them and was so proud of them when they were finished!

Girls Only Fun!

I wasn't going to post these pics until after I did a Father's Day post but this week has been so busy I guess it won't matter when I post Father's Day considering it has already been and gone anyways!!

Last weekend we were lucky enough to have Annilee and Tylie for a few days! There were late nights, girls only parties (including Stets) and all around good times. It was good to have them here and we were sad to see them go! We missed Cole and Teigen but hopefully we will see them in August.

Right after this first picture, Stets flipped ice cream all over himself and Nanny which was HILARIOUS! Poor Annilee tried unsuccessfully ALL weekend long to cuddle with Stetson but don't worry Nanny, it's NOT you--IT'S HIM!!

On Saturday we had a baby shower at my parent's house for my cousin Katie. It was so fun to see everyone and I am sure you can tell she is expecting a girl.

We had fun seeing everyone and I won't embarrass my sister by telling you all about our little shopping trip after the shower. She is the ONLY person I know who can go into a store to try on pants and LOSE the pants she came into the store with!! Nope...I won't share that story with the world =) Love you sis.

Summer Fun

I have tried to make the most of mine and Stetson's days together lately. As soon as Winter leaves kids just want to play ALL DAY outside and for us moms it can get rather tiring. Plus unfortunately we have had rain almost the entire month of June and it has been suffocating sitting inside many afternoons so when the sun comes out it is no holds bar fun!! We have tried to be creative with cheap entertainment lately and here are the results...!

In no specific order...letting Stets go nuts in the house with Styrofoam just so I could get some homework done..hanging out at the swimming pool at 11:00pm.. chillaxin at JT's house with some mean plato playing time...going to the park with Landon..
Picking every last flower from the yard to give to mom (He knows how to work the system already)... Taking many baths a day to get the yucky sweaty smell off... hitting McDonald's for some good old catching up with friends and NO topics were held back...haha some play dates with cousins... and of course what would summer be if mom wouldn't let you put the sprinkler out on the CEMENT. I didn't want a gigantic mud hole created in the "grassless" yard so we settled on the concrete! Lastly, chowing down McDonald's food at midnight because apparently the town of Heber shuts down all yummy food joints at 10pm so we were left to our own devices to survive!!

He wants a sister!

Stetson LOVES little babies and he can't stop talking about them lately. Here's a couple conversations we have had lately...

Stets: Mommy!
Me: What?
Stets: I want a sister!
Me: You want a sister?
Stets: Yeah, I want a Katelyn mommy.
Me: You want a Katelyn?
Stets: Yeah I want a Katelyn sister. Ok?

AND this morning went like this...

Me: If you keep going in the potty ALL THE TIME, mommy and daddy will take you to the store and let you pick out a toy.
Stets: A big toy?
Me:If you go LOTS and LOTS you can get a big toy. Do you want a plato toy?
Stets: No.
Me: Do you want a Thomas toy?
Stets: No. I want you to buy me a sister.
Me: What? I can't buy you a sister.
Stets: If I go on the potty I need a sister.

Oh boy here we go already! Will someone please break it to the lonely only child that he is not getting a sibling this year...and next year isn't looking too good either!

Revamping my blog with pics

Well as you can see, we got our pictures back! I think I sat here last night for over an hour trying to figure out which ones to frame. I am so happy with the results and she did a wonderful job! I know the orange is kind of bright but I chose it for two reasons--1 When I found out I was pregnant with a boy I boycotted buying blue clothing. It was hard at that time to find any cute clothes for boys that weren't blue!! I love Stets in orange and at any given time I can promise you his closet has more orange in it than blue. 2-When we got family pictures done on my side of the family about 5 yrs ago they decided we would wear black. The black looked REALLY good and sharp against the spring background but I have always thought it looked like a giant funeral procession and I have hated those pics since the day they were taken...so as you can see I wanted something bright and cheerful.

An Interesting Fellow

I have a private pay home health patient that I have had for two years now! I just love going and seeing her each week day around my own schedule while Stets is home with Skylar or playing at Lori's. It is the BEST family I could possible ask to work for and they have been so good to me from day one. I have had about a hand full of private patients over the past two years but my current lady is the first one I have taken care of without previously knowing. I placed an ad in the paper to find her and so I decided the other day to post another ad and see if maybe I could find someone else to see maybe two days a week... As I checked my e-mail the next morning this is what I find:

Ok, I am not injured or old, Im just a very curious individual and would like to experience what its like to rely on someone for this type of care.
