It started out as a great day...

We had such a fun play date planned with our good friends Landon and Megan today and we were so excited to have some fun! I took this picture after we had been there less than five minutes! Unfortunately we had to leave not two minutes later. When Stetson jumped down from getting this picture taken he slipped and cut his head open. We tried to stop the bleeding for a few minutes but it was pretty obvious at that point this was something that needed stitches. A mother's nightmare....your baby's first stitches!!

He was a trooper while we were at the hospital. He kept telling everyone that he is going to be a Dr. for Halloween!
The Little Foot dinosaur you can see in the background was one of his birthday presents from Landon today and it was such a relief to have something for him to cuddle while we were there! You can see how loopy he started feeling when the drugs kicked in...

TA-DA---all finished! He had three internal stitches and eight external. It has been a long day but I am happy to say Stetson is running around acting like his old self and all is good in our house once again. On our way home we had to go back to Landon's house to get my car and I thought for sure Stetson would fall asleep after everything but NOPE--he wanted to see his friend so we went inside and played for a few minutes like nothing had ever happened at all. It's such a blessing that kids bounce back from things so quick!!

Every year my mom buys all of the grand kids matching Easter outfits and we take their picture together wearing them when we get together during the Summer. Without fail, every year some child acts up and doesn't want to cooperate! THIS YEAR THE BRAT WAS MINE!!

See all of the love coming from Stets in this pic?

Some people's children!

More Staycation Pics!

The second day of our mini family getaway we played our now famous annual BINGO game! I laughed from the sidelines as my two sisters fought over the Scentsy block UNTIL Annilee showed me it was my ALL TIME favorite Scentsy smell....Coconut Lemongrass....ooooh I HAD to have that! The rules of the game are that you can steal any one's prize when you win until the game is over when the final person has won their prize. Luckily for me my BINGO card was HORRIBLE and everyone else had one multiple times before I won ANYTHING but that meant I was able to snatch up any prize I wanted.....Yes, I went home a proud owner of this lovely masterpiece!

Sorry Annilee but I must say how delicious my house smell right now =)

ANOTHER Birthday Party Post!

I quit making slide shows for my blog quite a while ago because they don't work well when you print off your blogs or order "blog books" and those are the main reasons I keep a blog because this is how I journal!! SOOO you will see a few posts come from our big family get together last weekend.
We always have a birthday party (courtesy of Aunt Dixie and Uncle Bill) for all of the kiddos PLUS we draw names in our family for the kids for their birthdays just like we do for Christmas so we exchange those presents every year when we have our summer get together. You can imagine what it's like to sing Happy Birthday with ELEVEN names to be said during the song! This party was a blast like always!!

(click the collage to enlarge!)

Stets scored some more Land Before Time loot and LOVES it all! He also got an awesome Yankees hat with his name embroidered on it too...but that's another post all together! THANKS everyone for making this get together so much fun this year!

Grandma Chelle's Salon!

Skylar's mom Michelle is always up for giving haircuts to any of the boys that need or want them. When Annilee's family was up a few weeks ago we lined up all the boys who were overdue for a good haircut and Michelle took care of them all! Here are all the handsome finished products...Bryce in the back, Timber up front, and Stetson on top of Teigen. You look good boys!

My Stetsie Man Turned 3!

Every parent will tell you how fast time flies when you have a child, but you never know how true that is until you have one of your own! I can't believe my baby just turned THREE. He has accomplished many mile stones in his life already but I think his biggest one has been being POTTY TRAINED! It is too soon for me to jump up and down and do a little dance about it but I think we are pretty much there. He has only peed in his pull-up once in the past week and has only done the other once in almost two months so we are THRILLED. I thought this day would NEVER come!

If you asked Stets what he wanted for his birthday he would just say a, "red present" or a "blue present" so it was nice just shopping around and getting him what we wanted. I am sure this will be the last year for that! He did request a dinosaur cake with "hot candles to blow on" so we made sure not to forget about that part. I have lots of pics but I am not going to apologize because I can brag about him as much as I want when it's his birthday!
Here is Stets right before the party...wearing outfit number ONE...Here are the guests....

One of the cakes!
...and the other cake....this is the one that caused all of the stress!
The first present Stets opened was this Land Before Time shirt from me and Skylar and he had to change into it before he could open anything else.
I guess we don't have any pics of the other things we gave him so I will get some and post them. We don't spend very much money on him for his birthdays though. He gets spoiled by all the grandparents enough that we feel putting a little money into his savings account is better for now. Boring...I know...but it will be better in the long run.
Singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles! Well one big candle actually.

The proud parents...and a shirtless Stets after changing out of one shirt and completely covering another one in chocolate cake!
Brinkley enjoyed the cake and ice cream!

Stets LOVED filling these treat bags with candy for the kids that came. I was trying to do it without him seeing because I didn't have extra candy for him to eat but he found my hide-out and sat down to help me finish. He didn't once ask for any of the candy and even though we filled him a bad he still hasn't touched it! I forget he LOVES chocolate but not much else in the candy category.

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who came and helped us celebrate. We had a great time and appreciate everyone's constant love and support in everything we do in our lives.

Good times with family!

Here's some more pics of the things we did with Annilee and Cole's family while they were up visiting last week...

We got some killer ice cream at Casper's which was sooo good!!

We went miniature golfing too...which Stets LOVED. Next time I will know to bring his "real putter" from his set at home so he doesn't have to use this lame plastic thing. He was so frustrated with it!! He cried when he lost his red ball in the water and was even madder when he had to play with a yellow ball after that (life's tough, I know).
During one of our late night parites Tylie tried to pass on her love for apples with peanut butter and sprinkles on to Stetson. Thanks Ty!
I wish I had more pics to share but thanks to my camera being out of commission I only have what other ppl have sent me. So sad...but as soon as I make it to wal mart and develop my film and clear out my memory card we will be back in business. Every time I take 10,000 pics with my camera I have to clear out the card and reset the camera. Apparently I take too many pics because this is the SECOND time I have had to do this in the 16 months I have had this camera. Anyways, we had a good time with everyone and will hopefully see them again next month.
