Stets and Timber Photoshoot

Timber came over for a few hours to hang out with us today. I am glad he is so laid back and easy going because Stets wasn't too excited about sharing ANYTHING at all today. At least he learned after sitting in time-out a few times too many! These two are so fun to watch play together. They talk half in English and half in jibberish but they somehow understand eachother! They are only a week apart in age and I hope they will always be good buddies! (Stets is in green and Timber is in orange BTW).

500 reasons why I hate hunting season

The first reason would be spousal abandonment... however, that also happens during golf season, softball season and baseball season so that one doesn't count! The other 499 reasons keep showing up in my house, on my clothes, attached to my underwear, all over my child and husband and of course poor Koda! They are called BURRS, THISTLES, THORNS, or as I lovingly refer to them: A royal pain in my butt!! Even after I go through Skylar's dirty hunting clothes with a fine tooth comb, I still find them inside my clothes or Stetson's clothes when we are getting dressed in the mornings! Last year there were four different times when they stuck to my underwear and I had no idea until I sat down and I couldn't figure out what was biting my butt!! Even though I HATE them, you can see from these pics that Koda got the worst of it this year. He was covered in hundreds and it was all from one little outing with Skylar. It took a couple hours of baby oil, shampoo, conditioner and combing to get them all out. Poor little guy!! The one and ONLY reason why I am happy to see snow fall every year--hunting season will be OVER...til next year.

Another attempt

We tried our luck at leaving Stetson in nursery again today at church! Did it go over so well? Actually he screamed for about the first 30 minutes EVEN THOUGH I HADN'T LEFT THE ROOM YET, but afterwards he calmed down and ALMOST enjoyed himself! I was really proud of him. Here's the little "hat/bandanna" he made in nursery today that says, "I can be honest".

You can see by the look on his face just how happy he was to be in nursery today!

Firefighter Stetsie

UEA vacation started yesterday so after me and Stetson slept in til 9:30, we decided to head over to the library where they had a fireman there to talk to the kids about fire safety. Stets is way too young to understand most of what they were teaching, but he still got to STOP DROP and ROLL across the grass and thought that was great! Afterwards, they let the kiddos climb ALL over the brand new fire truck and Stets was on cloud nine!!
Here's Stets picking up the "fire"!

The fire truck being bombarded with kids!
Stets driving the "big red truck"!

Posing for mom!!
After all of this excitement, they had little fireman outfits for the kids to dress up in and get their picture taken! I will post those as soon as I get them back. He looked so stinkin cute in the outfit I can't wait to see the pics!

Blog Tag--Randomness

I was tagged to share 6 random things about myself so here goes...#1 I LOVE chicken noodle soup! I eat a can of it EVERY single day. I have made it homemade before but it takes too long so I mostly stick to Progresso to cure my cravings.

#2 I get bored with decor VERY easily and am always rearranging furniture and doing anything I can to make a room look different! We just put up this wallpaper last week in our front room/office and I LOVE it!

It's only done on the one wall...I know you can't see the rest of the room in these pics.

#3 I am OBSESSED with smells!! This explains my Scentsy addiction! I usually go for citrus smells and ANYTHING with grapefruit in it!

#4 I do have qualities about myself that could be considered OCD...our DVDs for instance are alphabetized first by all the Disney movies and then secondly by "non-cartoon" movies.

#5 I LOVE anything Disney! I had all of this Mickey Mouse stuff in my trusso before I was married and we are still using it all as you can see. Stetson has no idea who Mickey and Minnie are but he will soon find out!!

#6 LAST but definitely NOT LEAST! I think my husband is the SEXIEST man alive!!

Yes, even when he looks like this! Well there you have it, a little insight into my world. I am tagging Sarah, Brooke, Chrissy and Megan (Landon's mommy).

"Swoop a nice bird"

Here's Stets rockin' his Ute jersey and ball!
Here's the famous Swoop!

Last Thursday Skylar and Stetson went with my mom and dad down to SLC for the UTE game. They had excellent seats so Skylar was super stoked to go even though he's an Ags fan. Stetson, however, doesn't usually hold still for more than 3.2 seconds so I was wondering how much of the game he would let everyone else enjoy but I am proud to say he surprised me and did REALLY really good!

My mom said he was super good just hanging out in his own seat and eating popcorn. However, he was LESS than pleased when the mascot, Swoop, came and sat down right behind him. He started hysterically screaming and crawled under his seat and didn't come out until Swoop was on the opposite side of the stadium. The next day, he would cry every time anyone mentioned the name, "Swoop" however, now he won't stop talking about him! He's been telling EVERYONE that, "Swoop a nice bird". In fact, he even told that to the Dr. yesterday! I was prepping him for the dreaded exam from the Dr. and I said, "The Dr. is VERY nice Stetson". Stetson's response was, "NO! Swoop is nice". Lol.
